As a member of the Golf team, this person will interact with our members, assist with activities on the golf course as needed and oversee golf starting activities. Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or prior related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • The employee is occasionally required to lift/pull/push up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all supplies, documents, and equipment are ready prior to the first tee time
  • Greet golfers in a friendly manner and responsible for organizing play
  • Ensure appropriate fees have been paid or charged and that all golfers are in appropriate attire and have required equipment
  • Inform golfers of expected pace of play, local rules, conditions, and procedures
  • Maintain tee sheets, record numbers of golf cars used and inform golf central of all changes and additions to tee sheets
  • Return forms and tee sheets to designated office at the end of the day (when acting as course marshal)
  • Be alert for any injuries or health problems among golfers and provide assistance as necessary
  • Observe course for litter, debris, or obstructions and correct or notify the responsible department
  • Maintain cleanliness of starter building and surrounding area
  • Assist Golf Operation by shuttle driving, signage output and other tournament needs
