About The Position

The Oquirrh Hills Golf Course is now accepting applications for a Starter to work in our pro-shop. In this position your typical duties will be to: Answer phones; Schedule play; Collect fees; Assist with enrollment of special events; Sale merchandise; and, Administer course play, practice range, and pro shop operations. Starters may also marshal the course to ensure efficient flow of game or address problems. We are seeking outgoing, customer oriented individuals that can multi-task in an office and sales environment. Applicants must at least be 21 years old and have skills in computer operation and cash handling. Knowledge of the golf industry is a plus but is not required. Obtaining a food handler's permit and an on premise beer handler's license issued by the State of Utah is a condition of employment. Flexibility in scheduling is required. Incumbent should expect to work up to, and sometimes over, 40 hours per week with an annual limit of 1,508 hours per year. Schedule will include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Hours reduce substantially in off season and may include periods of seasonal layoff. DISCLAIMER - Tooele City is a drug and alcohol-free workplace.
