The Graduate Intern at Amgen offers students the opportunity to gain industry experience while completing their studies. This graduate internship will rotate through various facets of manufacturing support for the summer which may include: Continuous Improvement, Contamination Control, Deviations, Digital, Document Support, Downstream Support, MES, Scheduling, Services Support, Single Use, Training, Upstream Support, and Validation.

Requirements

  • Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergrad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:
  • 18 years or older
  • Graduated with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Currently enrolled in an MBA program for an MBA internship OR a Master’s program for a Master’s internship OR a PharmD program for a PharmD internship OR Ph.D. for a PhD internship from an accredited college or university and completion of the first year of MBA OR Master’s OR Pharm D OR Ph.D. program before the internship or co-op starts
  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignment
  • Must not be employed at the time the internship or co-op starts
  • Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship or co-op

Nice To Haves

  • Degree concentration in Engineering, Science, Biotechnology, Math, Computer Science, Technology, Data Science, Public Health or a related degree
  • Previous Co-op or internship experience
  • Basic understanding upstream and/or downstream biopharmaceutical processes

Responsibilities

  • Supporting manufacturing support functions through rotational assignments across multiple operational areas
  • Assisting with training program coordination, documentation updates, and learning system support
  • Contributing to validation activities and documentation efforts
  • Supporting single-use system implementation and lifecycle management
  • Partnering with upstream and downstream teams to support production readiness and operational execution
  • Assisting with contamination control initiatives and compliance activities
  • Participating in continuous improvement projects to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Supporting digital initiatives and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) activities
  • Assisting with deviation documentation, tracking, and investigation support
  • Contributing to production scheduling coordination and services support activities
