About The Position

The Graduate & Online Legal Programs Manager plays a key role in advancing Oregon Law’s graduate and online programs portfolio apart from the in-person JD program. This role combines operational leadership with direct student advising. The Manager oversees day-to-day program administration, including recruitment, admissions, enrollment management, program communications, and data systems. The position manages the inquiry-to-matriculation pipeline and collaborates with faculty, staff, and administrative partners to support effective program delivery. The Manager also develops and documents workflows that enhance administrative efficiency and proactively identifies and implements solutions to operational challenges and opportunities. This position serves as a primary point of contact for prospective and current students, ensuring a high-quality, student-centered experience throughout the full student lifecycle. The Manager helps students navigate course planning, degree progress, academic policies, and university resources, and develops tailored materials to support diverse groups of learners, including international students and online students across time zones. The position also leads orientation activities, community-building initiatives, and professional development programming that strengthen the student experience. Success in this position requires initiative, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage complex processes in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The Manager works with a high degree of independence, professionalism, and discretion and must handle sensitive information in accordance with FERPA and university policies. This position reports to the Associate Director of Faculty Research & Programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Two years of experience in advising, student/client support, program or project coordination, or another role requiring direct service and complex administrative management.
  • Ability to 1) work effectively with students, staff, and faculty from culturally diverse backgrounds and with multiple intersectional identities; and 2) advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in the university community.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement creative solutions within established policies.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity in a dynamic, evolving program environment.
  • High level of discretion, integrity, and professional judgment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new software platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree.
  • Experience independently managing graduate, online, or professional education programs (in higher ed or comparable environments)
  • Familiarity with educational platforms such as Canvas, Banner, and CRM/admissions tools (e.g., LSAC Unite).
  • Experience advising or counseling students in a higher education setting.
  • Experience supporting international students, online learners, or diverse adult/professional student populations.
  • Experience with student recruitment, admissions, enrollment management, marketing, or outreach efforts.
