About The Position

The Grant Manager will participate within a dynamic and collaborative development team committed to success. POSITION SUMMARY: The Grant Manager will write the majority of grants for LIFE Senior Services and its affiliates, Vintage Housing and LIFE PACE. The grant manager will be in charge of creating and maintaining the grant submission and grant report calendars. This individual will work closely with management and direct-care staff to determine the appropriate requests for grants and best ways to evaluate and report outcomes. Identification of new grant opportunities is a priority for this role.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree.
  • Two years of grant writing experience is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with people.
  • An understanding and empathy of the needs of older persons and aging issues.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Interviewing, listening, and customer service skills.
  • Program management skills.
  • Strong teamworking skills.
  • Accuracy, dependability, and creative initiative.
  • Proven ability to work well with colleagues and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple grants at a time.
  • Ability to work with diverse partners and forge collaborations at the local, state, and national level.
  • Requires constant hand grasp and finger dexterity; frequent sitting, standing, walking and repetitive leg and arm movements, occasional bending, reaching forward and overhead, squatting and kneeling.

Responsibilities

  • Secure grant funding through the writing and timely submission of grants.
  • Research potential additional grant opportunities through private and federal funders.
  • Create and maintain an annual grant calendar.
  • Report metrics and outcomes of grants to the Chief Development Officer.
  • Assist with the Tulsa Area United Way grant application and government applications as requested
  • Adhere to and support the facilities policies, practices and procedures.
  • Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner and perform all other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required or assigned, which may include assisting with programs such as Celebrate LIFE, Welcome Home, Senior Lifestyle and Wellness Expo, Holiday Project, and Give 5.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, in-services and projects and committees as assigned.
