The Wexner Center for the Arts is The Ohio State University’s multidisciplinary laboratory for contemporary art and culture from around the world. Through exhibitions, screenings, performances, educational programs, and artist residencies, the Wex serves as a vital forum where artists test ideas and audiences engage with the art and issues of our time. The Graphic and Motion Designer will work in the center’s Department of Marketing and Communications, collaborating extensively with the team’s designer(s), editors, and interns. This team member will conceive and produce creative and institutionally aligned material—both print and digital—in support of the Wexner Center’s visual arts, film, performing arts, and education programming areas and its advancement department. In the near term, the role reports to the Editorial Director and will also collaborate with the Head of Marketing and Communications and a partner brand agency for creative direction. The scope of work includes but is not limited to print collateral (including advertisements, posters, flyers, programs, signage, and brochures), electronic communications (including graphics for email, social media, and our website, as well as digital slides and signage), and graphic animations for video. A knowledge of photography is a plus. The role must be able to work individually but also as part of a team.
