This is a developmental position for a college intern who is pursuing a technical **Graphics Design** field of study.
Utilizing current graphic design technology and techniques, the intern may be required to prepare art and layouts for proposals, oral presentations, and other visual proposal-related communications media. The intern may also assist with the development of internal and external communications and branding materials including marketing plans.
This position requires an energetic individual who has a keen eye for graphic design and strong communication skills. The intern should be innovative, and creative with ideas that merge technical with imaginative ways to present proposals and drawings. Working knowledge and proficiency in programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator is required. The successful candidate will have the ability to take engineering concepts and render them into easy to understand graphical depictions for proposal to the federal government. Work could involve, but is not limited to, general conceptual drawings, general layouts, photography selection, brochure development and original artwork necessary to communicate a unique solution to a technical issue.
Some travel may be required, mostly between Pasadena, CA and Washington, DC.
**This is a paid summer internship.**
**â¢** Must be enrolled in technical curriculum at an accredited college or university and completed at least one year of study.
⢠Must have ability to take engineering concepts and render them into easy to understand graphic depictions for executive presentations or proposals to the federal government.
⢠Proficiency in Microsoft Powerpoint, Adobe Creative Suite Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator is required.
⢠Familiarity with tasks, techniques, and PC software packages typically associated with field of study is preferred including knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint).
⢠Strong oral and written communication skills.
⢠Must be able to present representative samples of work.
