About The Position

AMSOIL is currently seeking a Graphic Designer. The Graphic Designer is responsible for production of visual imagery for AMSOIL that can be used online and in print. This position uses various applications of the Adobe Creative Suite to design materials that align with the AMSOIL brand. Graphic Designer: The Graphic Designer should have a good understanding of the AMSOIL corporate style and of AMSOIL logo usage. Works closely with Senior Graphic Design Manager to complete projects. Senior Graphic Designer: The Senior Graphic Designer is expected to take on larger projects without extensive direction from the Senior Graphic Design Manager and can work autonomously. This role should have a complete understanding of the AMSOIL corporate style and AMSOIL logo usage. The Senior Graphic Designer makes sound decisions based on corporate style, adapts to evolving environments to continually deliver high-quality outputs, and has independent problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Art, or related field required.
  • Graphic Designer: 3-5 years of related experience in the Graphic Design field required.
  • Ability to begin work on projects with little or no direction from graphic design manager.
  • Ability to manage feedback from multiple sources and areas of expertise.
  • Ability to offer feedback and suggested plans of action to project owners on new and existing projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat).
  • Strong spatial relationship skills.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines consistently.
  • Ability to follow AMSOIL brand guidelines.
  • Ability to troubleshoot computer issues.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of html/CSS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design brochures, signs, presentations, data bulletins, magazines/catalogs, test studies, online graphics, postcards, flyers, packaging (labels & cartons) and all other collateral and advertisements as assigned.
  • Meet with internal project teams or departments to define project requirements, including timelines, expectations, and vendors.
  • Collaborate with vendors, including printers, sign makers, and photographers.
  • Create mock-ups (when necessary) of packaging and printed materials.
  • Create logos as assigned.
  • Provide art directions for photo shoots.
  • Properly organize and archive completed graphic projects.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor in order to meet the needs of the organization.
