About The Position

Graphics Specialist Graphics Specialist Minimum Qualifications: • Must have, at a minimum, aBachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Art Graphic Design, Visual Communication or related field. Ten (10) years’ experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree requirement. • Must have a minimum of five (5) years recent experience in graphic design or multimedia environment. • Must have at least one (1) year of experience handling US classified documents. • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat), and Microsoft Office Suite. • Must have current TS/SCI security clearance. Graphics Specialist Desired Qualifications: • Thorough understanding of production and rendering methods. Some of the technologies and methods of production are drawing, offset printing, photography, and time-based and interactive media (film, video, computer multimedia). Multimedia refers to content that uses a combination of different content forms. Multimedia includes a combination of text, audio, still images, animation, video, or interactivity content forms. • Ability to solve visual communication problems by identifying the communications issue, gather and analyze information related to the issue, and generate potential approaches aimed at solving the problem. • Ability to operate a variety of computer platforms and operating systems including Mac OS and Windows; operate peripheral equipment including printers, CD and DVD burners and audio recording equipment • Ability to perform artistic and technical work to develop professional high-quality. • Ability to creatively translate abstract concepts into effective visual form in a variety of media, adapt graphics to fit needs of clients and target audience, and utilize state of the art production tools to design, edit, and produce video, audio, and graphic materials. • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form and explain technical concepts in non-technical terms to staff and customers. • Ability to prioritize, organize, and schedule work assignments and projects. • Ability to work individually on multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment. • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted during the course of work. • Experience working for the federal government or be capable of sophisticated design and branding representative of a federal government agency.
