About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Ground Based Weapon System Integration Engineer to join our team! In this role you will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) GMD Ground System Development Project Office (GMN) in Huntsville, AL. The GWS Integration Engineer will be assigned as a technical staff member on the GMN System Engineering Team.

Requirements

  • MA/MS degree plus 12+ years relevant experience or a BA/BS degree and 20+ years relevant experience
  • Active Secret clearance
  • 12+ years direct experience in Missile Defense system interfaces and integration
  • Direct experience with digital engineering and DevSec Ops development environments
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to assist the GMD Fire Control and Communications (GFCC) Product Leads in defining/analyzing/coordinating concepts supporting GWS integration engineering between the GMD Fire Control and Communications (GFCC) product suite (fire control system, fire control network/cybersecurity, in-flight interceptor communication system, and next generation launch equipment (NGLE)/ground support system (GSS)) and legacy and next generation interceptor interfaces
  • Function as a primary technical liaison between the GFCC product suite and legacy and next generation interceptor engineering and project management personnel, and facilitate productive/compartmented technical interchange between GFCC and interceptor teams
  • Assist GFCC Product Leads in incorporating next generation interceptor technical details into GFCC interface requirements, design documentation, and models and simulations
  • Coordinate with other GMD Stakeholders on technical interface details
  • Support the government in preparation, conduct, and after-action responsibilities for system requirements reviews, design reviews, project status reviews, test events, fielding readiness reviews, and operational readiness reviews
  • Develop and present technical reports and briefings including support to the Engineering Review Boards (ERB), other Stakeholder coordination, and Operational Capacity List (OCL) approval process
  • Travel as required (estimated 10%)
