About The Position

The job of Game Day Grounds Crew member is the upkeep and maintenance of the overall grounds. The Grounds Crew member will work various hours according to the needs of the Head Grounds Keeper. This position is a seasonal position that includes nights and weekends during the Spring and Summer. This position reports to the Head Grounds Keeper.

Requirements

• Provide great customer service for the fan experience
• Ability to work long hours, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability to handle multiple tasks
• Ability to stand for long periods of time in direct sunlight
• Have reliable transportation to and from work
• Ability to use/operate typical grounds keeping hand tools, implements, and power tools on a regular basis, for long periods of time.
• Ability to work in a hands-on position in all weather extremes for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of the main baseball field, including edging, field lining, fertilizing, weed and disease control, tarp protection, and general clean up
• Helping assist with additional landscaping duties, as needed
• Set-up and tear down of batting practice
• Maintenance of Home and Visitor bullpen following each game
• Maintenance of main baseball field following each game
