About The Position

The Groundskeeper/Equipment Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining groundskeeping and construction equipment while performing a wide range of golf course and campus maintenance duties. This role requires skill in the safe operation of tractors, mowers, utility vehicles, and various hand and power tools. Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions and requires varied shifts, including weekdays, weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Previous grounds maintenance experience required
  • Must have reliable transportation and consistent, punctual attendance
  • Available to work weekends, day and evening shifts, and major holidays (including Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, and special events)
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to follow oral and written instructions

Responsibilities

  • Operate hand mowers, riding mowers, string trimmers, tractors, and utility carts
  • Mow tees and fairways; walk-mow collars
  • Perform course setup (move tees, change pin locations)
  • Rake, edge, and weed bunkers
  • Fill divots on course and practice facilities
  • Trim irrigation heads and assist with irrigation installation and repairs
  • Perform hand watering and grounds clean-up
  • Assist with soil preparation, seeding, sodding, cart path grading, and spring cleanup
  • Complete light janitorial and maintenance duties as needed
  • Return equipment to designated maintenance areas and ensure tools are cleaned and stored properly
  • Follow all safety regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Perform additional duties as directed by supervisors
