About The Position

Dunwoody Village, a five-star rated continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Newtown Square is currently seeking a dedicated and motivated for a full-time groundskeeper. The standard shift is from 6:30AM-2:30PM Monday through Friday. The groundskeeper is responsible for the following: Mulching, fertilizing, weeding, planting, pruning, shoveling, snow/leaf removal, and litter removal on the property. Operation of landscape equipment and installation of seasonal decorations. Must have a valid PA driver's license to drive equipment and operate the truck with a snowplow during winter weather. Various other duties as assigned by the Grounds Supervisor. Position Requirements: The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a similar setting. Willingness and ability to work in all weather conditions. This position will need to be available during non-standard hours during significant winter weather events. The ability to walk, stoop, kneel, climb, bend, and the ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, 50+ lbs. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to relate to others. A keen interest in working with older adults is highly desirable. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Must be at least 18 years old in order to use equipment on property.
