About The Position

We're looking for a compassionate and skilled Group Facilitator to join our interdisciplinary clinical team in Newton, MA. In this role, you'll lead structured, evidence-based psychoeducational and process groups across our levels of care. You'll work closely with clinicians, prescribers, and program leadership to reinforce therapeutic goals and support real, meaningful progress for the clients we serve. We know that flexibility matters. This position can be part-time (20 to 25 hours per week), full-time, or start part-time and grow into a full-time role. We're genuinely open to finding the arrangement that works best for the right person.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, or a related behavioral health field
  • At least 1 year of experience facilitating or co-facilitating groups in a mental health or behavioral health setting
  • Knowledge of group dynamics, psychoeducation, and evidence-based or skills-based group interventions
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and client-centered care practices
  • Strong documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Active Massachusetts licensure (LMHC, LCSW, or LICSW)
  • Experience in outpatient, IOP, PHP, or psychiatric day treatment settings
  • Massachusetts-recognized behavioral health certifications or relevant clinical training

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate structured psychoeducational and process groups across Asteroid Health's continuum of care
  • Partner with an interdisciplinary team to support individualized treatment planning and continuity of care
  • Reinforce therapeutic goals and help clients build skills and stay engaged in their treatment
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and Massachusetts behavioral health regulations
