Job Description: This job is responsible for managing one or more major operations segments for a site, region, or product line within the bank's internal operations. Key responsibilities include identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex problems related to product lines, ensuring compliance with policies, and identifying opportunities to improve process performance and operating efficiency. Job expectations include supervising day-to-day activities of employees such as executing transactions. This job is responsible for managing one or more major operations segments for a site, region, or product line within the bank's internal operations. Key responsibilities include identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex problems related to product lines, ensuring compliance with policies, and identifying opportunities to improve process performance and operating efficiency. This individual will lead and support the Wealth Management Operations Security Pricing Services Team, responsible for end of day pricing of all investment securities held in Merrill, BofA Securities, Workplace Benefits, and Private Bank Accounts. The pricing process currently consists of five separate pricing applications: Prices and Rates Information Management (PRIM), Securities Pricing Platform (SPP), Profitability and Customer Enhancement (PACE), Global Price Manager (GPM), and MLII Recordkeeping System. The process begins when price providers send pricing data to the Pricing Team or pricing application. Inline exception reviews (Missing Price, Price Variance) are performed to validate or correct incoming prices prior to pricing files being released to downstream applications. Following pricing file release, post release exception reviews (Stale Price, Unpriced, Price Revision) are performed to validate or correct prices. As Process Owner, this individual will ensure the team is meeting key deadlines and accuracy when obtaining and validating price data across all pricing platforms. This individual will also be required to create sustainable support that includes detailed procedures, a standalone Single Process Inventory process, aligned metrics and controls and the necessary capacity plan. This individual will work closely with internal partners such as Global Operations and technology partners

Responsibilities

  • Forecasts and manages staffing levels and capacities, prioritizes employee development by providing effective coaching, and shares constructive feedback to drive Operational Excellence
  • Applies knowledge of the end-to-end processes and ensures adherence to bank and regulatory policy and procedures when making decisions that impact various operations and product lines
  • Develops and analyzes procedures to enhance unit and/or product-related activities and oversees budget and expense management, reporting, and forecasting for designated areas
  • Evaluates efficiencies and identifies areas of improvement and growth to the overall process, identifying data, metrics, and key performance indicators to measure process effectiveness
  • Aligns bank priorities and strategies to employee metrics and goals, evaluates employee progress, and strives to recognize, encourage, and improve team performance to support an inclusive work environment
  • Manage the End of Day Pricing Process for investment securities supporting multiple Lines of Business by obtaining, processing, and validating security prices.
  • Lead a geographically diverse team operating across three shifts located in two time zones (MST and EST), responsible for performing daily Pricing tasks.
  • Lead a multi-year platform consolidation initiative for Security Pricing by managing a technology-driven transformation from an operational perspective and demonstrating a strong ability to navigate complex change.
  • Handle a broad range of diverse issues and activities
  • Maintains strong relationships, as necessary, with Technology partners and upstream and downstream partners.
  • Establish metrics and create regular management reporting to demonstrate team's overall contributions.
  • Drive data analysis and identify trends to drive areas of investigation/focus
  • Assess controls and metrics on a regular basis for this highly manual data capture process
  • Assess talent and builds bench strength for roles across the organization.
