We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work together with our customers. The Guidance Section Integrated Product Team in the System Integration and Test Naval Power Effectors Department is seeking a Systems Integration and Test Engineer to support engineering development work on a Development Program. What You Will Do Establish understanding of the requirements, interfaces, subsystem behavior, and how the subsystem will integrate into the overall guidance section and architecture.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, Math or other related engineering disciplines (STEM) and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Hardware systems integration and test experience.
  • Experience in product development and updating of test plans, reports and procedures.
  • Experience with the use of lab test equipment.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in integration, testing, and troubleshooting of one or more of the following subassemblies: Missile Guidance Section hardware containing RF/RADAR, Analog, Digital, Power, and Harnesses
  • Experience working with missiles or similar engineering systems.
  • Work with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of DOD Hardware development process.
  • Practical experience in all phases of the product development lifecycle.
  • Experience with test instruments including Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Multimeter, Oscilloscope, and Logic Analyzers.
  • Know when to escalate issues, pull in Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and communicate progress and risks up to leadership teams.
  • Ability to work autonomously, with little supervision.
  • Experience in Agile and Scrum methodology.
  • Technical documentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform Test Planning: Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in both a Guidance Section Spread and Tactical configuration along with performing/executing the testing.
  • Integrate Systems: Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary engineering team to Perform Guidance Section Integration (Spread and Tactical Configuration), Qualification, Design Verification Execution and Acceptance Test Execution.
  • Evaluate test results for requirements compliance.
  • Generate technical documentation in support of design reviews associated with Test Events, which may include Test Readiness Review, Consent to Ship, Test Data Review packages, Acceptance Test Plans and Procedures, Design Verification Test Plans and Procedures, Consent to Power On, Peer Reviews, and other Technical Reports.
  • Troubleshoot and Analyze: Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging.
  • Perform Data Analysis: Conduct statistical and numerical analysis test data to ensure optimal system performance and verify requirements.
