About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance/ GSE Mechanic will be required to inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles (Ground Support Equipment) as well as make repairs to diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. The Facilities Maintenance/ GSE Mechanic will work closely with the General Manager and Line Service Department to provide safe, mechanically sound GSE equipment and facilities. They will also attend to all service needs as they relate to product inventory tracking, product ordering, product receiving, and product quality control standards. Job duties are also focused upon the technical services related to product inventory management (tracking, ordering, receiving, quality control, etc.), exceptional mathematical and time management skills are vital for the successful completion of this role. The Facilities Maintenance/ GSE Mechanic ensures that adequate product inventories are maintained/received while abiding by the highest quality control standards

Requirements

  • Requires three (3) years of relevant experience, including maintenance of FBO equipment.
  • Ability to operate a multitude of aircraft ground support equipment (ie: Tug, tow bars, GPU, air start, floor machine, belt loader, LAV cart, forklift.) Training available.
  • Must have a strong commitment to results
  • Must possess computer knowledge in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Comply with and ensure accountability for Company policies and procedures related to GSE standards, safety, and security procedures.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for site’s fleet of ground service equipment and fuel farm.
  • Perform repairs on downed equipment.
  • Maintain stock of necessary parts and fluids in accordance with the PMS and consistent with guidance from the Operations Manager and General Manager
  • Oversee QC program in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform facility maintenance as needed.
  • Maintain parts and tools inventories.
  • Ensure a culture that promotes first class customer service and safety through daily observations, shift briefings, routine audits, usage of Baldwin SMS, monthly service/safety meetings, training, and documented service/safety procedures.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and business partners
  • Take fuel product samples and have proficient knowledge of fuel sample evaluations.
  • Must be able to fill out corresponding ATA paperwork, Upkeep work orders and X1 information.
  • Demonstrates sufficient knowledge in reviewing Certificate of Analysis, Bill of Lading and fuel release paperwork
  • Perform water detection field tests
  • Can receive and order JET A and AVGAS loads
  • Performs daily and weekly checks on waste and FSII barrels
  • Completes a weekly checklist to ensure proper placement of barrels
  • Schedules and executes waste barrel pick-ups in accordance with state EPA regulations
  • Able to communicate concisely with co-workers, drivers, and dispatchers in order to place fuel orders
  • Additional duties as directed by the General Manager from time to time.
