About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a GSE Team Lead to support the Final Assembly GSE Team based out of North Charleston, South Carolina. Position Responsibilities: Supervise the repairs and maintenance of GSE equipment and demonstrate experience in these areas. Responds to service calls and resolves a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Follows safety procedures and regulations. Interprets basic electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics. Utilizes a variety of hand and powered shop tools to repair equipment. Works with electrical systems and electronic components of industrial GSE equipment, following manuals, schematic, and other specifications. Ensures the operation of mechanical equipment by supervising and directing preventive maintenance and repairs to GSE equipment as needed. Follows the operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications to maintain and troubleshoot malfunctions. Under general guidance, reviews customer requirements and may evaluate product capabilities. May receive specialized equipment training. Provide training to peers and/or customers on the general use of equipment. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the North Charleston, SC Airport Campus.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Ground Support Equipment maintenance.
  • 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and interpreting schematics (preferably electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic)
  • 3+ years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • 1+ years of experience working with Digital Volt Meters (DVM), Oscilloscopes, AC/DC Power supplies, Frequency Generators, and/or Power Meters

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
  • 5+ years of experience in Ground Support Equipment maintenance
