About The Position

This position is not a Cyber Security role. Control Risks is seeking a qualified Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Analyst to support a prominent client in managing and mitigating security risks associated with their global operations. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in the monitoring and assessment of various threats that may impact the integrity and safety of personnel, assets, and operations. This role will be part of a 24/7/365 function, and as such will require holiday and weekend work. This application is for the Night Shift. Key responsibilities of the GSOC Analyst will include: Conducting thorough monitoring of open-source intelligence and various media platforms to identify potential security threats. Analyzing geopolitical events that may affect operational functions, executive travel, and corporate events, and providing timely alerts to stakeholders. Monitor employee and executive travel to ensure safety of all client persons. Drafting clear, concise, and timely communications regarding security alerts and status updates for decision-makers. Collaborating with a multifunctional team of global security professionals to ensure the effective operation of the GSOC, which operates 24/7/365. Providing detailed briefings to senior leadership regarding significant incidents and developing actionable recommendations. Participating in routine training programs and exercises to maintain readiness and proficiency in GSOC procedures. Documenting all activities and incidents to assist in the assessment and refinement of security protocols.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., international relations, security studies, political science) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in corporate security, governmental security, or an equivalent role is required.
  • Familiarity with global risk intelligence tools and incident response protocols is essential.
  • Experience with emergency mass notification and travel risk management systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to analyze open-source information critically and to conduct thorough incident assessments.
  • Proficiency in professional communication, both verbal and written, to effectively disseminate information.
  • Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, reflecting professionalism and composure under pressure.
