About The Position

Under the general direction of the GSOC Manager, serves as the Global Security Operations Center key Controller; actively engaged in six critical operational areas: Access Control, Fire & Life Safety Systems, HVAC & Environmental, Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), Security Personnel, and Incident Intake & Documentation. The GSOC Operator also serves as the primary contact and liaison for monitoring Corporate Facilities and Retail Centers; responsible for analyzing incidents and providing immediate response to appropriate mitigation procedures while maintaining Business Continuity. The GSOC Operator directs Security Officers and Support Staff; providing critical information needed to respond to incidents, and bring closure in conjunction to pre-established policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines. This position is a swing shift working Tuesday through Saturday, 11:30pm - 7:30am. Position requirements are provided below.

Requirements

  • Work experience equivalent to a BA/BS
  • 2 – 5 years’ experience working in a GSOC or similar experience
  • Analytical and report writing skills: MS Word, MS Excel.
  • Proven ability to operate efficiently and effectively in a high-pressure time sensitive environment.
  • Proven ability to research and consolidate information from different sources.
  • Ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and prioritizing accordingly.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end process for granting physical access to client facilities and restricted areas. Includes: interfacing with client associates via phone and email, granting and removing access within the client access control database, and troubleshooting access problems presented by the customer
  • Proactively monitor physical access and video surveillance alarms within the respective systems and be able to execute appropriate response standards in accordance with approved operating procedures.
  • Monitor and report after hours facilities power outages to the client.
  • Monitor and respond to facilities 911 and duress alerts in accordance with client procedures.
  • Train local client associates and receptionists on utilization of Duress panic buttons, and response.
  • Support internal investigations when requested by producing supporting access, and video evidence.
  • Creation and distribution of incident reports
  • Monitor Global incident alert tools, media, and additional platforms for events that impact or have the potential to impact Client facilities, operations, or associates.
  • Monitor phone and email communications from client associates reporting suspicious activities.
  • Create, disseminate, and archive all “Do Not Admit” DNA / “Be on the look-out” BOLO approved by client corporate security department.
