About The Position

GSOC Operator must be detail oriented, have a strong aptitude in communication and analytical thinking when responding to events, as well as having a team first mentality. Daily responsibilities will focus on the monitoring of global events, camera and alarm monitoring, internal and external communications, and responding to alerts from a variety of security systems and tools.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a security, dispatch, or customer service role is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong ability to multitask and maintain focus in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and the ability to quickly learn new software and security platforms.
  • A strong sense of responsibility and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as part of a 24/7 operation.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor multiple screens displaying various security systems, including access control, video management, and intrusion detection platforms.
  • Acknowledge, assess, and prioritize all daily security alerts and intrusion detection alarms in a timely manner.
  • Administer and troubleshoot security systems, ensuring they are functioning correctly and reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Dispatch security officers and other relevant personnel in response to alarms or security events, adhering to established performance criteria and protocols.
  • Accurately log all security events, actions taken, and outcomes in the incident management system.
  • Answer inbound calls from employees and security personnel, providing professional, helpful, and customer-service-focused responses.
  • Triage all incoming service and support calls, redirecting them to the appropriate team or individual as needed.
