About The Position

The NASCAR Hall of Fame is an interactive entertainment attraction honoring the history and heritage of NASCAR. The high-tech venue, designed to educate and entertain race fans and non-fans alike, includes artifacts, hands-on exhibits, a 278-person state-of-the-art theater, Hall of Honor, NASCAR Hall of Fame Gear Shop, and an attached parking garage on Brevard Street. The goal of the facility is to honor NASCAR icons and create an enduring tribute to the drivers, crew members, team owners and others that have impacted the sport in the past, present, and future. The Guest Services Representative will be responsible for delivering memorable customer experiences to guests who visit the NASCAR Hall of Fame (NHOF).

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • Prior success in the delivery of quality customer service

  • Must enjoy working with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds
  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand and walk for most of their assigned shift.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule and varying hours; weekends and evenings is required

  • Additional knowledge of NASCAR and motorsports is beneficial but not required

Responsibilities

  • Provides exceptional customer service and assistance on the exhibit gallery floor to NASCAR Hall of Fame guests by engaging with them and offering an authentic, personalized, and memorable experience toward every customer we serve daily.
  • Assists guests in all museum areas including interactive exhibit assistance, directional and gallery guidance and delivering guided tours for guests and event attendees.
  • Support the Education Team and assist in the experiences of the students who participate in field trips and camps.
  • Work events hosted at the NASCAR Hall of Fame. This includes working outside of the business hours of the Hall of Fame to run interactives and provide event attendees with a fun and memorable experience.
  • Staff are expected to work weekends and evening events. This includes working events impacted by NASCAR such as NHOF Induction, Charlotte Race weeks in May and October and others as scheduled.
  • Maintains ongoing knowledge of exhibits, NASCAR history and stays updated on changes in the building.
  • Monitors building to ensure cleanliness and guest safety and notifies appropriate supervisor on duty when action is required.
  • Maintains a respectful and courteous work environment. Ability to work on a cross-functional and diverse team.
  • Monitors and controls crowd flow and assists guests with interactive exhibits.
  • Performs ongoing checks throughout the day to ensure assigned areas are up to NASCAR Hall of Fame standards.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to work 24 hours per month to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
