About The Position

Department Guides (Canoe) Position Scope Provides a fifteen-minute guided tour. Assists guests throughout the tour, answering questions whenever possible. Prepares canoes for guests prior to their arrival.

Requirements

• Must be able to safely push a canoe carrying 30 - 35 guests down the lagoon while giving the designated lecture.
• Requires good health and a voice that can endure up to four hours of speaking in any given time frame.
• Must be capable of a full range of body movement.
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
• Should be a high school graduate or the equivalent.
• No prior work experience required.
• Must exemplify the University Honor Code, including the dress and grooming principles and expectations.
• Must attach resume and a copy of your Fall Semester class schedule (WEEKLY VIEW).

Nice To Haves

• Fluency in a foreign language is highly desirable but not required.
• Preference will be given to students who can work during academic breaks
