About The Position

Cleaver Medical Group Dermatology is seeking a dependable, skilled, and flexible Part-Time/PRN Handyman / Maintenance Technician to support our multiple clinic locations with general maintenance, minor repairs, and basic handyman duties. This individual will travel between applicable locations as needed to assist with facility upkeep, small projects, and repairs to ensure our clinics remain safe, functional, and professional for patients and staff. This is an as-needed role and may be compensated hourly or per job, depending on the scope of work.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of basic repair techniques and use of hand/power tools
  • Ability to work independently, troubleshoot issues, and complete tasks efficiently
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel between practice locations
  • Must be dependable, punctual, professional, and respectful in a healthcare environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing ladders, and carrying equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working in medical office, clinic, or commercial settings
  • Experience with light carpentry, minor plumbing, and minor electrical work
  • Familiarity with basic painting and patching processes
  • Flexible schedule with availability for urgent repairs when needed

Responsibilities

  • Complete minor building repairs and light maintenance tasks
  • Patch/small drywall repairs, touch-up painting, caulking, minor trim work
  • Basic plumbing repairs (leaky faucets, toilet issues, replacing fixtures as appropriate)
  • Basic electrical assistance (replace light bulbs, install small fixtures, replace outlets/switch plates when appropriate)
  • Replace ceiling tiles and perform basic floor/wall upkeep as needed
  • Assemble furniture, shelving, cabinets, workstations, desks, and chairs
  • Hang pictures, mirrors, whiteboards, signage, curtain rods, wall-mounted items, etc.
  • Install and adjust doors, locks, handles, and cabinet hardware
  • Mount items securely using appropriate anchors and tools
  • Perform small updates to improve clinic appearance and functionality
  • Assist leadership with special projects related to clinic openings, room rearrangements, and upgrades
  • Provide light moving support for small equipment/furniture shifts between spaces
  • Identify and report facility concerns requiring higher-level repair or vendor involvement
  • Maintain clean work areas and remove debris after completing projects
  • Follow basic safety practices and comply with clinic policies
