About The Position

In this role, the Hardware Engineer will support hardware architecture, power, and performance initiatives by conducting hands‑on lab experimentation, collecting and analyzing system data, and contributing to silicon characterization efforts. The position plays a key part in optimizing performance, power efficiency, and thermal behavior of next‑generation hardware through structured testing, measurements, and automation of benchmarking workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, or related field).
  • 0–2 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Hands‑on experience collecting power and performance data in a hardware lab environment.
  • Basic understanding of thermal test setups and thermal measurement principles.
  • Experience using DAQ systems, thermal chillers, or similar lab instrumentation.
  • Foundational knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, and general computer hardware operation.
  • Familiarity with engineering tools, design techniques, and modeling practices.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware/software interactions and embedded systems fundamentals.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with scripting or automation using Python or .NET/C#.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior exposure to performance, power, or thermal characterization workflows.
  • Hands‑on experience with noise, thermal chambers, or other environmental test setups.
  • Experience creating automated pipelines for benchmarking or data analysis.
  • Familiarity with computer simulation tools used for hardware modeling.
  • Experience modifying or validating prototype hardware systems in a structured test environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform power, performance, and thermal measurements on hardware platforms in a lab environment.
  • Run structured experiments and collect data to support performance characterization and system analysis.
  • Assist in silicon characterization efforts, including execution of predefined test plans and validation activities.
  • Set up and operate test equipment such as DAQ systems, thermal chillers, and other measurement tools.
  • Monitor system behavior, diagnose anomalies, and implement modifications to ensure hardware conformance with specifications.
  • Build, test, and adjust product prototypes using physical models or computer‑based simulations.
  • Analyze system requirements to determine optimal hardware layout, configuration, and peripheral integration.
  • Develop and maintain scripts to automate benchmarking, data collection, and analysis workflows (Python, C#, etc.).
  • Assemble or modify hardware components as needed to support testing or specialized scenarios.
  • Document findings, report performance results, and collaborate with engineering partners to drive system improvements.
