Learn more at AMPSortation.com. AMP is hiring a Hardware Intern reporting to Mechanical Engineering Manager on an in-person basis in Louisville, CO. This internship will begin June 1st, 2026 and conclude August 21st, 2026.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in CAD software
  • Mechanical assembly knowledge
  • Familiarity with basic fabrication and tools
  • Completion of Junior level coursework towards a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with a 3.0 GPA or better

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical circuit knowledge
  • Basic motors and controls skill
  • Welding/Machining/sheet metal experience
  • Examples of personal design projects

Responsibilities

  • Adapt existing technology to allow rapid testing of different sortation approaches
  • Develop laboratory testing approaches to validate sorting effectiveness
  • Participate in the design and concepting of sorting system prototypes
  • Assist in conducting laboratory trials
  • A final presentation of internship findings must be made and submitted
