What You’ll Do: In the Hardware/Software Integration Engineer role, you will own integration of hardware and software for Archer’s high voltage battery management system (BMS). Your deliverables will span all phases of the product development life cycle: development, implementation, validation, and continuous improvement. Specifically, you will… Work closely with hardware engineers and software developers to bring up new features in the lab Translate schematics + datasheets into pseudocode, timing diagrams, and interface specs Work hands-on in the lab to set up equipment and instrumentation as-needed Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-software issues cross-functionally Work with battery test team and mechanical teams to support critical battery pack tests on test sites Develop automated fault injection tests and fixtures to exercise safety-critical diagnostics Consolidate design feedback to inform design for subsequent versions of the BMS hardware
