Damariscotta Hardware is looking for a friendly, reliable Team Member to join our store team. If you enjoy helping people and learning about tools, home improvement, or DIY projects, we’d love to meet you. We are a locally owned hardware store that values friendly service, teamwork, and helping our community complete their projects.

No hardware experience? No problem. If you enjoy helping people and are willing to learn, we will train you.

Requirements

• Positive attitude and strong customer service skills
• Interest in hardware, gardening, or DIY projects
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet during shifts
• Availability for weekends and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Assist customers on the sales floor and at checkout
• Help customers find products and complete their projects
• Operate the cash register and process transactions
• Stock shelves and organize merchandise
• Answer phones and assist with customer questions
• Help maintain a clean, organized store
• Additional tasks may include loading purchases, cutting keys or pipe, and filling propane.
