About The Position

Geyserville Winery is looking for Harvest Cellar Interns to join the team for Harvest 2026. The Harvest Cellar Intern is an integral part of the winemaking process during the harvest season. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience in a worker cellar environment, working closely with experienced winemakers and cellar staff. The primary focus of the role is to support the day-to-day operations for the cellar during the busy harvest season.

Requirements

  • Must have a positive attitude and be reliable, on-time and engaged.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to understand and comply with all safety requirements.
  • Effective communication.
  • Good reading, writing, and math skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 42lbs.
  • Ability to work in various temperatures.
  • Valid CA driver’s license and clean driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform grape receiving and processing activities.
  • Make additions to musts and wine.
  • Monitor fermentation.
  • Perform barrel activities (cleaning, filling, and topping).
  • Conduct some field sampling.
  • Drive a forklift.
  • Perform cap management practices (punch-downs, pump-overs, and foot treading).
  • Follow sanitation protocols for equipment, tank, and winery.
