About The Position

This position is responsible for repairing and operating machinery while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position requires proficiency in multiple areas such as electrical, mechanical systems, pneumatic systems, and manufacturing processes. This position is responsible for maintaining plant equipment to supply maximum quality while ensuring the safest work possible. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Department: Maintain and repair equipment. Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatics, and welding. Other duties as assigned. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, reaching, and required to include work on ladders. This position works in a cold, damp to hot and humid environment, and slippery surfaces. Good communication with management and all departments. Must maintain an updated pallet Jack and forklift license. Position Specific: Applicants will be considered for Maintenance type opening on 3rd Shift. Maintain and repair all plant equipment. Must have basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatics, and welding. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment. Must be able to demonstrate hands on abilities, skills will be enhanced through computer-based training modules. Furnish own hand tools. Other duties as assigned. Must be able to handle extreme temperature changes and fast paced work environment The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation Must have 6 months of continuous employment with a single employer within the last 12 months of employment. Must have 1 year of industrial maintenance experience. Rehire Consideration: Max of two (2) previous Tyson Employments to be considered. 180 days (6 months) waiting period.
