What You’ll Do As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you’ll play a key role in supporting psychiatric and behavioral health patients in the community. You will: Monitor psychiatric symptoms and screen for medical issues Coordinate care with medical providers Provide medication education and support to members Deliver clinical care and document treatment according to nursing standards Support individuals outside of traditional clinical settings Participate in on‑call crisis rotation as needed This role is ideal for someone who can provide calm, compassionate care — even when working with members who may need frequent redirection. Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in North Carolina (required)
- 1+ year of LPN experience in inpatient or outpatient settings
- Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills
- Understanding of nursing principles, medication storage, HIPAA, and care coordination
- Travel
- Valid driver’s license & insurance required
- Travel varies day‑to‑day; all travel is local within the community you serve
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with adults with mental illness (preferred)
