About The Position

Under the direction of the Director of Home and Community Based Services the Home and Community Based Services Supervisor provides oversight and supervision to the staff in the assigned programming spaces. Must have the following abilities to perform the responsibilities: Ability to effectively communicate with the public, in person, by phone, and via email, Ability to comprehend written material related to essential job functions, Ability to accurately document facts related to essential job functions, Ability to comprehend, recall, and apply facts related to essential job functions, Ability to analyze, evaluate, and implement a reasonable course of action based on available information, Ability to detect specific odors related to the assessment of a client's health/hygiene and the safety of the client's environment, Ability to lift/carry 20 lbs. upstairs, Ability to ambulate enough to access private homes/locations which may not be readily accessible, Ability to travel to community and consumer locations within our four-county service area (Ashtabula, Mahoning, Trumbull, and Columbiana counties), and Ability to occasionally travel outside of our four-county service area including but not limited to Columbus, Ohio.

Requirements

  • Home and Community Based Services Supervisors managing Waiver Service Coordinators or Case Managers must be either a licensed RN as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing with five (5) years paid clinical experience in Home and Community Based Service, or licensed Social Workers (LSW) or equivalent applicable experience, licensed independent social workers (LISW) who hold a current, valid, and unrestricted license to practice issued by the Counselor, Social Worker, & Marriage & Family Therapist Board in the State of Ohio, with five years paid clinical experience in Home and Community Based Service or equivalent applicable experience.
  • For HCBS Programs that do not manage Waiver Service Coordinators or Care Managers the individual must have a bachelor’s degree or Equivalent in experience (3 to 5 Years).
  • Must be able to practice and promote positive employee relations and foster the mission and values of the Agency.
  • Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.
  • Must also pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
