Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • Specialty or technical culinary training preferred
  • Minimum 5 years culinary experience required
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience required
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations, food cost and inventory principles, and food safety standards
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
  • Arc Herkimer approvable driver’s license required

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the kitchen team including Sous Chef, Line Cooks, Prep Staff, and Dishwashers
  • Plan and execute seasonal menus, weekly specials, and event menus
  • Oversee food preparation for daily service, banquets, and catering events
  • Ensure high standards for food quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Maintain food safety, sanitation, and health department standards
  • Manage food ordering, supplier relationships, and inventory
  • Collaborate with the Events Coordinator on banquet and catering events
  • Monitor kitchen equipment and support efficient kitchen operations
