Head Chef, $65K and no late nights!
About The Position
Stauffer's Cafe, one of Lincoln's most iconic restaurants, is hiring a Head Chef for their busy restaurant! Located at 5600 S. 48th Street, Stauffer's is known for their "from scratch" classic Americana dishes as well as those amazing homemade pies! This is a very busy, fast paced kitchen! This is not a paper pushing position. The Chef is expected to be on the line running service, especially during peak hours. The majority of shifts will be morning through afternoon, covering breakfast and lunch, the busiest hours. Some evening shifts will be necessary but kitchen closes at 8:00pm, 2:00pm on Sundays. Weekend availability is a must!
Requirements
- 1-2 years experience as a Sous, Head or Executive Chef OR 3-4 years minimum continuous experience in a lead kitchen role
- Must hold a valid RS or FPM Food Handler's Permit issued by the LLCHD
- Weekend availability is a must!
Responsibilities
- hiring and scheduling staff
- ordering and inventory of products
- overseeing the quality of the dishes going to the guests
- making sure the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently
- staying in compliance with the Health Department
