Head Coach - Boys Soccer
About The Position
A Head Coach of Valor Christian Athletics exists to prepare tomorrow’s leaders to transform the world for Christ within the platform of the sport. As a committed follower of Jesus Christ, the Coach will provide excellent support of the program including intentional development of the athletes’ faith in Jesus Christ and excellence in Christian Character, while instilling great work habits, and teaching, stressing and monitoring the primacy of Academics. The Head Coach – Boys Soccer is responsible for the strategic development and management of a world-class Boys Soccer program. Success of this position will be measured both by individual and team goals as well as overall program excellence. Valor Christian seeks to continually advance the passions and dreams of each student athlete to compete at the highest level possible. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous outstanding experience in coaching Soccer
- Demonstrated ability to lead others at a high level and appropriately manage a large team of assistant coaches
- Desire to run efficient and effective practices while balancing the academic load of our student athletes
- Experience in mentoring student-athletes
- Unwavering commitment and demonstrated success in integrating a faith-filled, Christ-centric process as the foundation of the program
- Must be able to relate with high school athletes
- Ability to effectively communicate with parents and other coaches
- Commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience for our student-athletes and their families
- Ability and willingness to make difficult decisions and deliver the truth with an appropriate measure of grace
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask
- Ability to maintain trust and confidentiality in all matters of school business
