About The Position

Join the University of Dayton, a premier Catholic research university where excellence meets opportunity! We're seeking a dynamic Head Coach for our Men's Golf program to lead our student-athletes to new heights! The Head Men's Golf Coach will be responsible for all aspects of the Golf program's needs. The coach will primarily instruct, train and coach student athletes about the sport, Division I competition, the skills required and to be maintained. The coach will also instruct student athletes for purposes of academic, social development, compliance requirements, and safety and health considerations. The head coach will recruit quality student athletes and engage in strategic leadership, addressing matters such as team composition, competition strategies, and peak performance. The coach will perform additional duties related to coaching, as needed (e.g., compliance education, budget management, equipment procurement, fundraising and other duties). The Coach shall comply with the published constitution, bylaws, interpretations, rules or regulations of the NCAA, Atlantic 10's Conference or the University.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong knowledge of and ability to teach and coach golf
  • Ability and desire to commit and adhere to the values and mission of the University of Dayton, the Conference and NCAA
  • Valid driver's license, maintains a low risk driving record and is able to be insured by the University

Nice To Haves

  • Preference given to candidates with intercollegiate golf coaching experience.
  • Good interpersonal, organization and communication skills
  • Experience in fundraising, cultivating donations
