About The Position

As the founding Head of Design, you will define the entire visual and interactive soul of Overtone. Moving beyond the exhausted swipe model, you will use AI and voice-based tools to create a deeply personal, high-trust experience. You will own the product end-to-end, translating complex human emotions into intuitive, elegant digital interfaces.

Requirements

• Proven track record of designing successful mobile-first consumer products, specifically those involving social connection or high-trust domains.
• Exceptional hybrid skills in both structural UX thinking and elite visual craft, including typography, layout, and interaction design.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with experience in 0-to-1 environments where you thrive on ambiguity and move quickly from building to thinking.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design process, from high-level UX strategy and systems thinking to pixel-perfect UI execution and motion design.
• Partner directly with the founder and engineering to prototype, test, and ship a brand new interaction model for modern matchmaking.
• Establish Overtone’s visual identity and design language, ensuring the product feels safe, sophisticated, and instinctively trustworthy for users.
