About The Position

Rockstar is recruiting for a stealth-stage startup building at the frontier of AI and technology. Our client is stepping out of stealth mode and seeks a strategic partner to help them move faster than the competition, build systems that compound, and deploy both AI and people at exactly the right moment. This is a pivotal role for someone who thinks in systems and defaults to automation. Why Now Our client has been building in stealth. Now they are stepping out, and the complexity has outpaced what a small founding team can manage alone. They need someone who can help them move faster than the competition, build systems that compound, and deploy both AI and people at exactly the right moment. This isn't a coordination role. It's an agentification role. The Mission The company is building in one of the most consequential moments in technology. The Chief of Staff will be the person who ensures their systems, people strategy, and external presence are all operating at the frontier: not just keeping up with AI, but running ahead of it. The successful candidate will own the infrastructure that turns the vision into execution: agentic workflows, people allocation, GTM systems, and the operational backbone that lets everyone else do their best work.

Requirements

  • You are deeply, genuinely AI-native. Not "uses ChatGPT." You have set up your own OpenClaw instance. You've built multiple real applications with Claude Code. You use AI agents to extend your own capabilities daily and you instinctively reach for automation before headcount. You can show us what you've built.
  • You have high agency. When you see a problem, you solve it. You move forward without perfect information. You favor action and iteration over endless planning and you drive everything to a high bar of quality.
  • You think in systems. You don't just execute tasks. You build the infrastructure so tasks don't need to be executed manually again. You see leverage everywhere.
  • You're a great prioritizer. Whether it's people, time, or tools, you think carefully about where resources create the most impact and you're ruthless about cutting what doesn't.
  • You have low ego and high standards. You care more about impact than credit. You'll do unglamorous work if it moves the company forward. You're intellectually honest about what you know and don't know.
  • You're energized by intensity. You thrive in fast-moving, high-stakes environments.
  • Consulting, growth-stage startup, chief of staff, operations, or founding experience
  • Track record of building AI-powered systems and workflows in a professional context
  • Exposure to technical recruiting or engineering organizations
  • Experience at Seed to Series B vc-backed startups
  • You've set up and run an OpenClaw instance. Show us what you built.
  • You've built real applications with Claude Code
  • You actively use agentic workflows to extend your own productivity
  • You have a point of view on where AI tooling is heading and how to stay ahead of it
  • Deep familiarity with modern productivity and automation tools (Notion, ClickUp, Make, Zapier, and beyond)
  • Strong systems thinking and operational design
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Comfort working with technical concepts and technical teams
