Head of Legal Support – North America

About The Position

As Head of Legal Support for North America, you lead and further develop the legal and compliance function for Sandvik’s mining business across the region, ensuring alignment with our business strategy. You collaborate with divisions, business units, and the global legal and compliance function to future-proof and align our legal strategy. You report to the General Counsel for business area Mining within and are a trusted and valued member of the legal and compliance management team, headed by the General Counsel for Mining and the sales area management team, led by the Sales Area Vice President for the US. Location This role is preferably based in Denver, the USA. Some travel is a natural part of your job.

Requirements

Several years of experience leading high-performing legal and compliance teams within international business environments – ideally within industries like ours.
You hold a law degree
Proven experience managing legal and compliance topics
Proven track record of leading people and building high-performing teams.
Hands-on experience in a variety of legal areas, including: Commercial and contract law Digital and Technology Law Compliance management in complex, global organizations
Eager to learn, proactive, and motivated to develop the team and advance our legal and compliance function for the future.
Comfortable navigating diverse legal landscapes and excel at stakeholder engagement, both internally and externally.
