Position Summary: We have an immediate opening for a full-time Head of Procurement- Strategy based at our client’s headquarters in Seattle, WA. The client is a publicly traded, high-end retailer in the United States with a multitude of major labels. The Head of Procurement Strategy will serve as the strategic leader with procurement responsibility for all indirect spend categories for our client, while also owning the IT Procurement Category. With a reporting line into client’s Executive Leadership Team, this role will help to define, align, and execute a cohesive procurement strategy. The position requires a senior procurement leader with strong IT category expertise, exceptional stakeholder engagement capabilities, and the ability to run complex, cross‑functional initiatives themselves with the client’s teams and the teams at LogicSource. This role will report to the Managing Director, Sourcing & Procurement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of strategic procurement experience, with deep expertise in indirect categories and IT sourcing.
  • Proven track record partnering with senior executives and leading high-impact, complex procurement initiatives.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to build structure, governance, and scalable processes.
  • Act like an owner mentality, Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong commitment to client service and total value creation.
  • Takes accountability, drives results through collaboration.
  • Polished communicator and presenter, both formally and informally

Responsibilities

  • Aligned priorities and ways of working with client’s Executive Leadership Team.
  • In collaboration with business leaders, develop and help deliver the end-to-end procurement strategy for all indirect spend categories for client leveraging LogicSource’s Center of Excellence (COE) teams.
  • Engage and align with client’s executive leadership and business stakeholders to establish annual procurement priorities, value targets, and operational expectations.
  • Determine and structure the optimal role of LogicSource in supporting the indirect procurement agenda, ensuring clear ways of working, defined scopes, and measurable outcomes.
  • Build governance models, engagement frameworks, and processes to ensure seamless collaboration between client and LogicSource teams.
  • Identify opportunities to drive savings, efficiency, compliance, and support improved supplier performance across all indirect categories.
  • Have a flexible way of working, to either lead or support negotiation tactics with suppliers. One-team mindset, aligned with the business stakeholders on best approach to achieving targeted outcome.
  • Align with the business stakeholders on all priorities for cost savings and value creation opportunities. Have a one-team approach methodology to capture and report results.

  • In collaboration with the IT leaders, serve as the IT Procurement Category Lead for the full lifecycle of technology procurement, including software, hardware, cloud, telecom, and IT services.
  • Partner with client’s IT leadership to co-develop a unified technology procurement strategy, ensuring alignment on roadmaps, standards, supplier consolidation opportunities, and risk management.
  • Lead and personally execute complex IT sourcing initiatives such as major platform renewals, software negotiations, cybersecurity solutions, infrastructure modernization, and managed services.
  • Drive value creation beyond cost—focusing on scalability, risk reduction, vendor performance, contract hygiene, and long-term technology optimization.
  • Have a flexible way of working, to either lead or support negotiation tactics with suppliers. One-team mindset, aligned with the business stakeholders on best approach to achieving targeted outcome.
  • Align with the business stakeholders on all priorities for cost savings and value creation opportunities. Have a one-team approach methodology to capture and report results.
  • Design and institutionalize the operating model, workflows, governance, communication channels, and decision rights for how client and LogicSource collaborate on indirect procurement.
  • Ensure consistent, transparent, and data-driven reporting, including performance dashboards, pipeline visibility, and executive updates.
  • Establish best practices, tools, and templates to elevate procurement maturity and stakeholder experience across client enterprise.
  • Help champion continuous improvement and operational excellence across all processes and supplier engagements.

  • Lead or support negotiation strategies, commercial objectives, and supplier positioning
  • Directly support complex, high-value, or highly sensitive negotiations
  • In conjunction with business stakeholders, review and support sourcing recommendations, supplier selections, and contract structures to ensure value realization and risk mitigation
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders
  • Facilitate alignment across LogicSource procurement, finance, legal, and business teams
  • Directly or in support, engage strategically with key suppliers to drive performance, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Serve as the primary strategic category leader and advisor for assigned client and category or categories
  • Partner with client and functional leaders to understand business objectives, constraints, and priorities
  • Translate client goals into clear category strategies, value levers, and execution roadmaps
  • Own the development and ongoing management of category strategies, including market analysis, spend diagnostics, supplier landscape assessments, and risk considerations
  • Lead annual and multi-year category planning, defining initiatives, savings targets, timelines, and success metrics
  • Continuously refine category strategies based on market shifts, client needs, and performance results
  • Leverage a centralized CoE to deliver sourcing events, negotiations, and contract execution on behalf of the client
  • Set strategic direction and priorities for CoE resources, ensuring alignment to client objectives
  • Provide governance, decision support, and quality oversight throughout sourcing and contracting cycles
