About The Position

We are seeking an exceptionally motivated Health & Safety professional who thrives in both the field and the boardroom, a builder, not a maintainer, who sees a blank-slate program as an opportunity, not an obstacle. You lead through influence and example, equally comfortable debriefing a near-miss with a rooftop crew or presenting risk analytics to senior leadership. Based in Centennial, CO, you are ready to be on the ground, take ownership, and genuinely care about employees going home safe every night.

This is a rare ground-floor opportunity to build a world-class safety program from scratch. You will own the design, development, and implementation of all policies, procedures, training programs, and SOPs that keep our field crews and back-office staff safe every single day. Requirements

• Must reside in Colorado for an on-site, field-active role
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Health & Safety or a closely related field
• Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification required, Certified Safety Professional (CSP) strongly preferred
• Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer (Construction and/or General Industry)
• Deep knowledge of federal and state OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910 (General Industry) and 29 CFR 1926 (Construction)
• 7+ years developing, implementing, and managing safety programs and SOPs in field-operations environments
• Experience leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and driving corrective actions to closure
• Proven ability to deliver hands-on training for 10+ employees
• Experience building safety metrics & dashboards for executive audiences

Nice To Haves

• CSP certification or actively pursuing it
• Experience in residential construction, HVAC, or utilities
• Proficiency with Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) tools
• Comfort using modern productivity and AI tools to automate reporting, streamline documentation, and increase operational efficiency
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Responsibilities

• SOP Development and Program Architecture
• Design, author, and maintain a comprehensive library of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all high-risk tasks including Working at Heights, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical hazard work, and confined space entry
• Translate complex federal and state regulatory requirements (OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and 1926) into clear, actionable policies for field teams and office staff
• Build and continuously improve a full-cycle safety management system including hazard identification, risk assessment, corrective action tracking, and program audits
• Develop emergency response procedures and coordinate drills for fire, earthquake, and chemical spill across all locations
• Hazard Identification and Risk Management
• Proactively identify hazards before they result in injury through safety walks and site inspections, spotting risks such as trip hazards, blocked egress, and unguarded equipment
• Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) to systematically evaluate high-risk work tasks and determine exposure points
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for incidents and near-misses, implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence
• Perform internal audits to ensure inspection readiness for federal and state OSHA visits
• Implement engineering controls, administrative controls, and updated procedures based on findings from investigations, audits, and near-miss reports
• Training, Coaching and Culture
• Develop and deliver hands-on safety training for groups of 10 or more employees including new hire onboarding, annual refreshers, and task-specific certifications aligned with OSHA Outreach standards
• Serve as the company’s Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer, delivering OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 courses for construction and general industry
• Act as a player/coach, leading crews in the field while designing and maintaining programs from a strategic lens
• Champion a proactive safety culture across the organization, making safety a shared value rather than a compliance checkbox
• Reporting, Analytics and Strategic Oversight
• Develop, track, and present health and safety KPIs and dashboards to senior leadership including incident rates, near-miss trends, training completion, and audit scores
• Prepare detailed reports for management and regulatory bodies and maintain all required documentation per federal and state recordkeeping standards
• Coordinate with HR and medical professionals to manage Return-to-Work (RTW) programs, supporting injured employees in safe, compliant reintegration
• Stay current on evolving OSHA regulations, NFPA standards, and industry best practices, proactively updating programs
