About The Position

Welcome to a medical center where you're the center of attention. We're are currently seeking a Health Unit Coordinator for Inpatient Surgery. The Health Unit Coordinator performs a variety of clerical, coordinating and communication activities to support unit operations. Inpatient Surgery (IPS) is a 17 suite OR which performs Open Heart, Cardiothoracic, Neuro, Spine, Orthopedic, Bariatric, Robotic, Vascular, Gynecological and Urogynecologic as well as General Surgery procedures. Combinations of inpatient and outpatient procedures are performed on a mainly adult population and IPS averages 850 procedures monthly. Specialty team based OR nursing is our foundation for providing consistent, knowledgeable and experienced staff to meet our customers’ needs. Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills
  • COVID-19 vaccination requirement: After October 18, 2021 all Washington state healthcare employees, contractors and volunteers will be required to provide proof of full COVID-19 immunization as a condition of employment. You must provide this proof before your first day of employment with Overlake. Nice To Haves

  • Prefer Health Unit Coordinator experience or experience in a related field
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and computer familiarity is preferred.
  • EHR experience preferred
