About The Position

Woolpert is hiring an Architectural Team Leader to join our dynamic Healthcare team at our Coral Gables, FL office. This position reports to the Regional Team Leader and is responsible for guiding, instructing, directing and leading the group to achieve discipline, individual and team goals. This role may accommodate full-time in-person or hybrid working arrangements. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located. #LI-SN1

Requirements

  • BA/BS or MS degree in Architecture
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of related work experience is required. Healthcare experience is required
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive leadership experience
  • Active professional registration (Registered Architect) required
  • Experience managing goals, expectations, motivating and directing employees to promote growth, both firm and individual
  • Strong ability to facilitate technical discussions when needed
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to negotiate, influence and manage risk
  • Ability to effectively communicate in both internal and external relationships for all essential job functions
  • Ability to make sound decisions/recommendations based on the evaluation and synthesis of project information and data
  • Demonstrate an enterprising, innovative, proactive management approach
  • Ability to travel for meetings up to 10%

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, manage and motivate team members daily to function in a goal-oriented manner.
  • Through supportive leadership create an inspiring and trusting team environment promoting the growth of team members with an open communication culture.
  • Utilize your expertise, peers, influence, and/or creativeness to formulate smooth team operations and effective team collaboration.
  • Effectively resolve conflict within teams by initiating and facilitating communication.
  • Effectively plan and schedule workload and performance of team members.
  • Establish and improve levels of technical competence, quality and efficiency of projects.
  • Monitor the quantitative and qualitative achievements of the team.
  • Ensure team is right sized, right skilled and trained.
  • Interview and hire team members in collaboration with the Regional Team Leader.
  • Listen to team feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts escalating issues if needed.
  • Partners with Human Resources for strategic people management duties.
  • Recognize high performance and reward accomplishments.
