Healthcare Data Coordinator
About The Position
Altocare is seeking a Healthcare Data Coordinator to support the collection, verification, analysis, and reporting of operational and outcomes data. This entry-level role provides an opportunity to gain experience in healthcare operations, data analysis, and business strategy. The position helps ensure the accuracy and completeness of information across internal systems while supporting leadership with insights that improve operational performance, decision-making, and patient outcomes. The role will work with multiple internal teams and external stakeholders to gather information, review data for accuracy, and assist in identifying trends or opportunities for improvement across the organization. This position requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently while managing assigned responsibilities and projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or in progress, with 0–2 years of professional experience
- This entry-level role is well suited for individuals beginning their careers in healthcare data and operations
- Ability to take initiative, stay organized, and work independently while maintaining efficiency and attention to detail
- Strong verbal communication skills and comfort speaking with clients, family members, providers, and internal teams
- Ability to clearly communicate findings and present information in a professional manner
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work with electronic medical record systems and other data platforms
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic analytical skills with the ability to identify inconsistencies or gaps in information
- Ability to work independently while managing assigned responsibilities
- Professional phone presence and customer service orientation
Responsibilities
- Contact Altocare offices, clients, family members, payors, or providers to verify and obtain information needed to complete client records
- Gather, compile, and validate operational and outcomes data from internal systems and external sources
- Identify missing or inconsistent data related to client outcomes, including hospitalizations, service interruptions, and terminations of care
- Review information across internal systems to ensure data is accurately captured and aligned between EMR platforms
- Update and maintain client records within systems such as WellSky and AlayaCare
- Analyze collected data to identify discrepancies, trends, or operational risks
- Prepare summaries, reports, or presentations outlining findings and key insights
- Present findings and data insights to internal leadership or stakeholders as needed
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications to organize, analyze, and report on data
- Work independently with direction while following established procedures and documentation standards
- Assist with additional data, reporting, or operational projects as responsibilities evolve
