About The Position

Galloway Ridge is an upscale continuing care retirement community offering top-quality care in a warm, welcoming environment and we are looking for a Healthcare Dining Room Supervisor to join our team! The Healthcare Dining Room Supervisor is primarily responsible for the direct supervision of Healthcare Dining daily operations for dining venues with Director of Resident Experience support. They ensure satisfactory dining experience of residents, guests and others. Monitors and maintains courteous and efficient quality of services of all healthcare dining venues & events. Directs employee training and development based on a current training program for host, hostess, and servers. Maintains appearance and cleanliness of all dining rooms, equipment, serving areas to present a neat and orderly work environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Three to five years of restaurant supervisory experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Should be able to comprehend and carry out instructions given in written or verbal form.
  • Possess high quality verbal and written communication abilities, strong customer service skills and knowledgeable on restaurant procedures and practices.
  • Must be proficient in operations of computers and computer applications.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures all HC Dining operations are in compliance with Galloway Ridge departmental policies and procedures and state & federal health & food regulations.
  • Ensures that service employees follow dress code and procedures.
  • Inspects venues with manager oversight to each meal period ensuring cleanliness, order and safety.
  • Oversees dining room operations in conjunction with manager.
  • Assures customer satisfaction and addresses concerns.
  • Assists with proper tableware handling (resets) and takes orders when necessary.
  • Assigns sections and duties prior to meal periods.
  • Communicates with BOH daily regarding menus, events, etc adjusting POS system as needed.
  • Conducts FOH stand up meetings with assistance of manager.
  • Ensures regularly scheduled cleaning is completed in venues, stations and other areas.
  • Administrative duties including recordkeeping, filing, printing, completing reports, etc.
  • Conducts and monitors new FOH services, employee training with the oversight of managers.
  • Ensures effective use and implementation of training programs.
  • Maintains productivity, efficiency, and accuracy of work of all Dining Room employees
  • Maintains a professional presence consistent with standards of performance, behavior and appearance.
  • Maintains confidentiality & resident privacy.
  • Demonstrates courteous behavior with residents, families and staff.
  • Maintains positive working relationships.
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of work assignments.
  • Consistently follows instruction from managers
  • Demonstrates professional development & competency.
  • Participates in assigned in-services, projects & committees.
  • Maintains necessary certifications.

  • Complies with departmental and Galloway Ridge established safety rules & practices.
  • Reports potential safety hazards to supervisor or appropriate personnel.
  • Reports any injuries of residents, visitors, or employees to manager.
