POSITION OVERVIEW Paradigm Design is seeking a Healthcare Practice Leader | Architect to develop, lead, and scale the firm’s healthcare sector across medical office buildings, specialty clinics, outpatient facilities, dental, behavioral health, and public health environments. This is a senior-level, revenue-accountable leadership role responsible for healthcare market growth, client development, sector strategy, and project excellence. Success in this role is measured by sustainable revenue growth, sector profitability, client retention, and backlog stability. The Healthcare Practice Leader is responsible for establishing Paradigm Design as a trusted partner within the healthcare sector and building a scalable client base that generates recurring project opportunities. This position reports through the Executive Leadership Team and presents quarterly healthcare performance metrics to firm shareholders. This role carries operational leadership authority within the healthcare sector; governance and ownership rights are not included at hire. LEADERSHIP ADVANCEMENT PATH This role is designed as a performance-based pathway toward Associate Principal consideration within 12–18 months, contingent upon: · Achievement of defined healthcare revenue targets · Sustained margin performance · Demonstrated leadership effectiveness · Positive cultural integration and firm impact Initial success in the role will focus on establishing strong client relationships, securing early healthcare project opportunities, and building a qualified pipeline that supports sustainable sector growth. Associate Principal designation includes expanded operational leadership influence and eligibility for enhanced performance-based compensation. Ownership participation may be considered in the future based on sustained performance and long-term alignment. COMPENSATION Competitive base salary plus performance-based incentives tied directly to healthcare revenue origination, sector growth, and profitability performance. Requirements

  • 12+ years of healthcare design experience
  • Demonstrated success in healthcare client development and revenue generation
  • Proven ability to lead pursuits and secure work
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows, healthcare planning, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience managing healthcare project teams and mentoring staff

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed Architect NOT required, but strongly preferred
  • Established healthcare industry relationships preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic growth plan for the healthcare sector
  • Originate and secure new healthcare clients and project opportunities
  • Build and maintain a qualified and active pipeline
  • Lead healthcare pursuits, interviews, and proposal strategy
  • Expand repeat client relationships and strategic partnerships
  • Maintain defined backlog coverage targets within the healthcare sector
  • Responsible for achieving defined annual healthcare revenue targets
  • Monitor sector profitability, margin performance, and utilization
  • Track win rates and pursuit effectiveness
  • Present quarterly performance updates to shareholders
  • Lead staffing strategy for healthcare projects in partnership with studio leadership
  • Establish healthcare design standards and best practices
  • Mentor project managers and technical staff within the sector
  • Collaborate with Civil, Engineering, and Interior Design teams to deliver integrated healthcare solutions
  • As the healthcare sector grows, help identify staffing needs and participate in recruiting efforts to build a dedicated healthcare project team
  • Oversee healthcare projects from concept through construction
  • Ensure compliance with FGI, ADA, state, and federal regulatory standards
  • Maintain high-quality project delivery and client satisfaction
  • Serve as executive-level client contact on strategic healthcare projects
