About The Position

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: The HTM Site Supervisor supervises the daily activities of the HTM Biomedical Equipment Technicians, assists with schedules for preventive maintenance on clinical equipment and procures replacement parts for repair efforts. SUPERVISION: Reports directly to the HTM Director. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Schedule preventive maintenance work orders on medical equipment for junior technicians. Perform employee evaluations for junior support staff. Manage compliance rates and monthly activity with the LCMH Medical Equipment Mgmt. Plan. Supervise all Medical Device Integration in clinical areas. Supervise the testing, support, planning and repair activities of Biomedical Techs. Facilitate project management tasks and supervise daily database activities. Coordinate repair activities with department leadership. Test, calibrate and maintain medical equipment. Research part numbers, prices and vendor information. Maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts /spare equipment. Accurately documents preventive and corrective maintenance work completed. EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE Associates degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, Instrumentation, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field is required. Military Biomedical Equipment experience or related field training is also eligible for consideration. CBET, CRES, CISS, or CHTM required. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in servicing hospital equipment is required. Supervisory experience of 5+ years in Healthcare Technology is required. Advanced computer and medical device integration skills. Familiar with CMMS software and systems. Ability to communicate with patients, family, peers and medical personnel. Will often be required to make decisions of a complex nature. Should be able to read and understand blueprints and schematic diagrams. Physical Demands/Work Environment Must have good hand/eye coordination and have no color loss in eyes. Must be able to utilize intricate hand tools and testing devices and work with system components. May be required to lift heavy objects, climb ladders and stairs, push or pull varying weights. Must have good manual dexterity and have full range of motion in all extremities, good perception and field of vision. May occasionally work in semi-clean environments. Requirements
