About The Position

HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR – UNDERGROUND UTILITIES & REMEDIATION (Travel Required) Location: Houston, TX (Travel throughout TX and other states required) Compensation: Hourly rate commiserate with past experience + Paid Travel + Per Diem + Company-Paid Lodging (unless employee has their own RV they prefer to use – reimbursement available there) ABOUT BLUE WORLD Blue World Construction (www.bluwrld.com) specializes in complex civil and environmental construction projects across the United States. Our work includes major remediation sites, large-scale site grading, industrial plant expansions, pumping systems, and pipeline installation. IMPORTANT – TRAVEL REQUIREMENT This position is Houston-based but requires travel , often in rotations up to 3 weeks at a time. Blue World pays for: Travel time Airfare (when required) Lodging (hotel/Airbnb/VRBO) Daily per diem If you are not willing to travel, this is not the right position for you. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator with strong underground utility and pipeline experience who can operate efficiently in varying soil conditions and active construction environments. You must be comfortable operating: Hydraulic excavators (mini to 80,000 lb class) Dozers Loaders Experience with: Trench excavation and trench boxes Utility installation (C900PVC, HDPE, DIP, etc.) Cut/fill and grade control Working around crews safely and efficiently This is a working operator role. You will be expected to get off the machine and assist with: Pipe installation (above and below ground) Site prep and clearing Basic rigging HDPE fusion (preferred) Minor carpentry or welding tasks General field construction duties We hire team-oriented field professionals — not seat-only operators. Requirements

  • 5+ years heavy civil construction experience
  • Proven underground utility or pipeline installation experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong safety record
  • Willingness to travel
  • Physically capable of performing labor tasks when required
  • Hydraulic excavators (mini to 80,000 lb class)
  • Dozers
  • Loaders
  • Trench excavation and trench boxes
  • Utility installation (C900PVC, HDPE, DIP, etc.)
  • Cut/fill and grade control

Nice To Haves

  • Current Training Certificates: OSHA 30, OSHA 40, HAZWOPER (29 CFR 1910.120), HDPE fusion certification, Rigging certification, Welding experience
  • Ability to carry grade consistently
  • Experience in environmental or remediation sites
  • Ability to lead small crews when needed
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Professional attitude on multi-state projects
