About The Position

Summary / Objective Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of Hydrovac trucks, semi-trucks, and half-ton trucks in accordance with manufacturer specifications. This role requires strong mechanical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Hydrovac experience preferred; semi-truck experience required. Duties & Responsibilities Accurately interpret work orders, service manuals, and technical diagrams. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system failures. Ensure full compliance with DOT, MSA, and OSHA regulations. Document all work performed using established procedures and maintenance systems. Communicate additional repair needs to the Fleet Manager. Train, mentor, and assist other technicians as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy-duty construction equipment, Hydrovac/Vacuum trucks, or fleet repair (preferred).
  • Must maintain an approved MVR; Class A or B CDL preferred but not required.
  • Must provide personal hand tools required to perform the job.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal abilities.
  • High safety awareness and adherence to safe work practices.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable using computers and computer-based maintenance systems.
  • Willingness to learn and work with emerging technologies.
  • Ability to work 10–12 hours a day and occasional weekends as required.
  • Must be able to work in indoor/outdoor environments, including extreme weather.
  • Exposure to loud noise, heavy equipment, and industrial conditions.
  • Ability to repeatedly sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and crawl.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs multiple times throughout the workday.
