The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for the repair and maintenance of stationery and mobile equipment throughout the facility. Their technical acumen will be key in trouble shooting, diagnosing, inspecting, repairing, and enhancing the equipment's performance, contributing significantly to the facilities’ success. The position requires the individual to work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment including testing, diagnosis, hydraulic, brakes, electrical systems and modules, drive trains and axle/hub repairs. Ability to work alone and in a team environment Operation and maintenance of a wide variety of hand and power tools, shop tools, test equipment Able to work safely and follow company rules and procedures. Good verbal and written communication skills Schematic Reading Proficiency Critical thinking Problem solving Operate CMMS system for work order management, scheduling, and inventory Assist in maintaining parts stocking levels to ensure proper parts are on hand.
